Just a little something to get feelings off my chest.
Tidal Wave
Our life comes to shore calmly, washing over our bare feet. Comforting us as we dig our toes into the sand and look out over the sunset.
That soft breeze, brings memories of all the good times we've ever had. When our smiles were the biggest, so big that our entire eye crinkled up and our soul was at peace.
The pleasant ocean aroma made our eyes slowly shut, letting all sense surround what we're breathing in.
And then it changes.
The once pleasant aroma that surrounded our senses becomes toxic, presenting danger in its wake.
That soft breeze becomes still, not making the faintest of whispers. And as quickly as it stopped, it comes back. Violently. The wind slaps you in the face, forcing your eyes to snap open. Bringing with it all of the tears that you have shed, all the screams that you have yelled.
Our life quickly retreats, our toes ripped away from the comforts of the sand. The sunset is covered by gray clouds that chase away any orange that remains on the edge.
A horrible wave enters your view and you're too late, as it crashes into you.
