Disclaimer: Hey! This is basically the first -man fanfic I'm writing. I randomly got this inspiration and I hope you like it!
Summary: Lavi decides to leave the Black Order after Bookman's death, only dropping the word to Komui, who promises to keep it a secret. Yet what are these letters found after he left? Friendship fic.
Pairings: LavixLenalee, minor LavixChomesuke, and friendship for all!
-man does not belong to me.
Dear Allen,
Haha. You must be angry at me right now, aren't you? Well, I'm not sure if you got the news yet or not. Either way, I'm still telling you now.
I haven't been the same ever since the old Panda died. I'm not stupid, I'm sure that you all noticed. Even so, I still tried my best to smile and act normal, but deep inside I was thinking. I broke at his death, but I had already started to mend myself together.
To do that, though, I finally got to a conclusion. It hurts all of us, but it has to be done, or else the line of the Bookmen would suffer. I have to take the name of Bookman and leave the Order.
If you're reading this letter, then I have already left and am heading for my new journey. I'm sorry for leaving without saying anything to any of you. I'm a weak person, I couldn't bring myself to say good bye in person. That's why I'm writing in here.
I'm not sure if we'll meet again, Allen, but please, do one thing for me while I'm gone. Take care of Lenalee for me. I'm asking Yuu the same thing, but I have a feeling that you'll do a better job.
Good bye, Allen,
Lavi, Successor of the Bookman
P.S. Don't fight too much with Yuu. It exasperates all of us. Hahaha.
Allen stared blankly at the letter in his hand, rereading it just to make sure he didn't get the wrong message. Just an hour ago he had been looking around the Order, calling for Lavi so they could eat lunch together. When he couldn't find him he just ate a huge meal by himself, not suspecting a thing...
Somewhere in the midst of this broken thoughts, a name popped up. Lenalee. At this Allen blinked, then swiftly left his room, letter still clutched in his hand. He made his way through the corridors of the Order before bursting into Lenalee's room, the door slamming against the stone wall.
He was ready to shout her name when a wail of pure sorrow reached his ears. The white-haired boy stared at the scene, unable to bring any words; Kanda was sitting on Lenalee's bed, eyes closed, a piece of paper in his hand, while Lenalee, the Lenalee that cared for her friends more than the world, was sitting on the edge of the bed, Lavi's letter on her lap as she sobbed into her cupped, pale hands.
Author's Note:
Forgive me of the shortness of the first chapter!
