Chapter 1: Izuku Midoriya; Origin

Bakugo snickered at the younger kid in front of him, who's tears stained his cheeks and back was in a corner.

The younger kid trembled as the bully slowly closed the distance, "Please, I'm sorry Bakugo, I won't say anything mean about you again."

"You shouldn't have said anything about me in the first place you loser!" The blonde responded, his words dripping with anger, his two lackeys began to snicker as their classmate dug themselves into a far deeper hole.

Bakugo's relentless yelling suddenly stopped as Izuku suddenly pushed the blonde out of the way and stood between the two. "Kacchan stop it!" Izuku's voice was weak and shaky, "You're making him cry!"

Bakugo seemed to hesitate for a moment, but he took another step towards the two, "Why should I?"

"B-Because if you don't!" Izuku began to ball his hands into a fist, "I- I will stop you myself!"

Laughter filled the air as the green haired boy finished his sentence, Katsuki's the loudest of all, "You can't do anything you pathetic Deku! You have no quirk!"

Only a second passed before Izuku found himself on the floor with the blonde's hand on his cheek. The curly haired boy could feel a hint of heat radiating from the blonde's fingers. Izuku let out a small whimper as the heat began to grow.

"Now listen Deku." Bakugo began to murmur, "If you Ever, talk back again." Izuku began to squirm, the burning was too much, "If you do," tears began to make their way out from the corner of Izuku's eyes, "I won't be this kind again." The blonde leaned in towards Izuku's ear, and continued in a low tone, "Don't test me Deku, you know I never back down from a challenge, you got that?" Izuku nodded, and the burn on his cheek died down a small bit. Just like that Bakugo had gone and Izuku was left, tears in his eyes and a burn on his cheek.

As months passed, Izuku held onto the hope that he would be able to gain a quirk like Bakugo had years before. It was similar to a single fire lighting the darkness, he kept that fire going for what seemed like forever. He knew he would gain a quirk and become a hero!

The doctor looked up from his clipboard, "Give it up kid, you'll never get a quirk."

Izuku's eyes went wide, he froze. How could… but he had to be a hero! If he didn't have a quirk, how could he? He'd just be one without one! But there wasn't a single hero without a quirk! He'd be able to do it! No. Yes. No. Yes. No. Yes.

No, he couldn't.

.

Yes, he could!

..

No, he'd get himself hurt!

...

It didn't matter he'd be the first!

….

You'd die.

You won't be fast.

You won't be strong.

You won't be durable.

You're fragile.

You're weak.

You're slow.

.

..

...

Villains won't be.

The doctor glanced down at his clipboard once more, "My records said that you're a fourth-generation quirk user, what powers do you and the boy's father have?"

Inko brought a hand to her cheek, "Nothing too special, I can float small objects towards me and my husband breathes fire, they're useful enough I suppose."

"Izuku should have manifested one of those quirks or a combination of both, but I don't think he's going to." The doctor glanced at the x-ray of the boy's foot and began to explain why things were the way they were.

Izuku didn't care.

He wanted to go home and watch the video. He wanted to see the video, no, he needed to see the video.

Several more months passed, and Izuku found himself the target once more, this time was different, however. News had flooded the school of Izuku's quirk lessness, and it seemed like the school now had a scapegoat to exploit. For what seemed like an eternity, had been harassed in the halls, courtyard, and on his way home. He would frequently come home with scratches, bruises and a frown on his face. That fire he always had in his eyes seemed to be smaller than before.

If only he had time to prepare…

Several weeks had passed since the harassment began and he was on his way home, scratching at a newly found scab. He had just crossed onto his street when he smelt it. Smoke, he smelt smoke.

His gaze found the sky, a pillar of smoke had formed over his neighborhood.

"No," Izuku muttered to himself. He dropped his backpack and began to run.

No, they're alive!

He sprinted down the street

They have to be!

He ran across traffic and entered his neighborhood.

They're quick!

He turned into a view of his house.

It's not like a villain set the fire!

He froze.

The entire apartment building had been destroyed. Where there had once been an apartment building stood nothing but ashes. His gaze flew around the parking lot, it was full of cops, heroes, and a group of five large unconscious villains. As he continued to scan the parking lot he stopped once he found the hulking form of All Might, as he talked to the nearby police Izuku's gaze slowly moved to the stretchers several feet behind the symbol of peace.

Laying on the stretchers were two bodies, one was his father and the other, his mother. Both were bruised and battered to a degree of which Izuku could barely recognize them.

His parents.

They- they were.

"Young Man!' A deep voice spoke, interrupting Izuku's train of thought.

Izuku slowly forced his gaze to move to the towering form above him, It was All Might. He seemed worn out however and smile seemed tense.

"A-are they?" the child trailed off.

"I'm afraid so." Said another voice. It continued to speak, he didn't know what it was saying as he had stopped listening. He could hear it faintly but it was all white noise.

His parents, there. But All Might was there! How could he have failed? He was the strongest! He never failed! He, he just didn't try enough! He had wasted time looking good for the cameras and not saving them! He had wasted too much time! All Might had wasted time!

Izuku's gaze turned from one of wonder to that of hatred, "You didn't save my mom and dad on purpose!"

An unfamiliar heat began to manifest inside the young boy's stomach, slowly moving up his throat.

All Might began to protest but he was cut off from the angry child, "You-you wanted to look good so you didn't save them!" The child began to jab at the symbol of peace's leg, tears filling his vision, "WHY DIDN'T YOU SAVE THEM!"

All Might, who was a little unsure of what to do reached down and grabbed the little boys arms. "My boy I assure you that-,"

All Might didn't get the chance to finish his sentence as the boy continued to ramble one, "I'll never forgive you!" He tried to squirm out of the heroes grasp.

As Izuku attempted to pull himself away from the grasp of his idol, the heat in his stomach overtook him and he began to spew fire out of his mouth and onto the heroes face.

While many of the witnesses were concerned for All Might, the hero assured that the child had a right to be angry. Thankfully for both the hero and the boy, the major news networks only had the broadcasted the story for a short period of time. Those who looked up to All Might, however, never forgot what Izuku had done to their idol.

While Izuku should have been happy to have finally manifested a quirk, the loss of his parents had certainly put a stop to that. While the police were trying to figure out what to do with the child he was often found alone, staring off into space.

As time passed Izuku was put into the local adoption center, with this new change in scenery Izuku was quickly thrown back into the spiral of bullying he had known his entire life. The only change was that he now had a quirk he didn't know how to control. When trying to defend himself from the likes of Bakugo or others he often times burnt himself and set fire the surrounding areas.

One winter morning on his way to school, Izuku found himself in an Alleyway and surrounded by a large group of students. Many he had seen before, some were new but all of them were led by the Smirking Katsuki Bakugo.

As Izuku backed further into the alleyway Katsuki began to chuckle, "While I would like to say I gathered everyone here, it was what you did to All Might that brought these people together."

One of the girls standing in the crowd turned her fists into ice and lunged toward the green haired boy.

Izuku jumped toward his right, successfully dodging the attack. He took in a breath and launched a ball of fire toward the girl.

Movement in the corner of his eye caught the boys attention. When he landed he took another breath and prepared to fire at the people behind him.

Before he could and elastic cord wrapped around the boy's foot and pulled his foot out from under him.

The boy soon found himself on the ground and the recipient of several kicks into his side. With a large scream escaping his lips, someone turned him over and began clobbering him.

Izuku let out a small scream, "Please, stop!"

As the group continued their attack Bakugo stood behind and began to scowl. As the blonde listened to Izuku's screams and cries of mercy, finally a small growl escaped his lips.

The growl continued to get louder and louder until Bakugo's voice roared throughout the entire alleyway, "Get lost you losers!"

The group quickly turned toward their ringleader in confusion, when another growl was sent their way the group dispersed and left an injured Izuku alone with a pissed Katsuki.

The blonde scowled at the beaten teen, "Watch yourself Deku! No telling what people can and will do to you!" With ragged breaths, Izuku watched as Katsuki walked out of the alley.

Izuku slumped against the nearby wall and let out a wavering breath. Why him? Why was it always him? He always was the one targeted! It didn't matter if he had a quirk or not! Why was it always him? Izuku ran his hands through his hair. They didn't understand! They didn't know, he lost what they never had! He lost his parents! He lost his family! He had no one! What about All Might? Nothing! Not a single punishment! But for him? He had been bullied by those around him for years and now this!?

A tear escaped the child's eye. Why, why did no one understand? For what seemed like forever he cried, pain bathing his body as the adrenaline wore off.

Izuku brought a hand to his side and winced, he may have a bruised rib. He let out a small sigh and began to get up, wincing as he did so. He took several steps before slumping up against the wall once again.

Izuku attempted to walk without the assistance of the wall and took a step. Only to lose his footing and fall forward, "Oof."

'You know what?' Izuku thought to himself, 'Why should I go to school? They clearly don't want me there. If the did they would have stopped the bullies long ago. But no, quirkless Izuku didn't matter, and as far as the world was concerned grieving child Izuku wasn't worth batting an eye.

The sound of approaching footsteps interrupted his thoughts. They were light and frequent, clearly displaying that a shorter individual was the cause. He could hear them kneel down next to him, a concerned gasp escaping their lips and a comforting hand brushed his back, "Are you okay?"
