Sitting in the little alcove in her father's home, she draped her long brown hair over her left shoulder, her stormy blue eyes looking past the heavy rain and the bleakness of the day.
"Something is amiss, my daughter."The deep voice of her father sounded.
"Nothing is amiss, Ada, only the weather."She said slowly, returning her gaze to the bleak world outside.
Her father sat down beside her, looking at her. Seeing his late wife in her face. The same Blue-grey eyes that held a silent storm; the long brown hair that went to her waist; the slightly tanned skin and everything else. The only difference between his little Nienna and his love Inwë, was that Nienna had fire and dared to be different, where as his love Inwë was a tame type, even when he met her all those centuries ago. Inwë had passed on because of an Orc Attack, not only fatally wounding her and killing their unborn son. When Inwë had come back home, her wounds had been so unhealable, that he sent her on a ship to Valinor.
Hours passed and the rainfall stopped and Nienna stepped outside and walked through Lorien. She knew the Brothers were on duty in the South so she felt no harm. Suddenly, a song came into her head that she had heard in the race of men and sang; unaware that one of the three brothers was walking though the forest to his talan.

My young love said to me "My mother won't mind
And my father won't slight you for your lack of kind"
And she stepped away from me and this she did say,
"It will not be long, love, till our wedding day"

Nienna sung without restraint as she walked through the trees to a small clear pool. When she arrived there she sat down upon a large boulder and sat down, taking of her shoes and dipping her toes into the cool water.

She stepped away from me, and she went thro' the fair.
And fondly I watched her move here and move there.
And then she went homeward with one star awake,
As the swan in the evening moves over the lake.

Haldir was entranced. He walked through the forest; following the voice. He reached a clear pool and looked to see Nienna, Perched on top of a boulder; her long thick hair draped over a shoulder he stood just out of sight of her as the last portion of the song drifted from her lips.

Last night she came to me, she came softly in,
So softly she came that her feet made no din.
And she laid her hand on me, and this she did say
"It will not be long love, till our wedding day"

As the last note died upon her lips, he smiled.
"No it won't."He whispered as he came up behind her, wraping his arms around her waist. She just smiled back as he kissed her, both waiting anxiously for their own wedding day.
