Since there have been some, ahem, "romance" stories about Raziel, I thought I'd counter it a bit with a little sonnet about myself meeting with Raziel. First told by me, and then by Raziel.
An Encounter with Raziel Sonnet(my point of view)
By Ryoken
Black ravened hair to blend in the night,
pale, ghost-like skin like that of a frozen corpse,
cloven hands to slash light flesh,
fangs razor sharp to pierce the blood,
leather wings that slice through air,
green eyes which command the soul.
"Those that lay eyes upon thee,
shall ne'er waken from the spell you've cast.
But I and I alone seem to have to strength to fight,
to defeat thee and thy spell.
But, mayhap your spell does affect me,
for I kill thee not.
But I do not worship like the others do
and I feel something stirring deep.
I can resist thee, but rage I have none.
I've no reason to kill, to hurt, or to love thee."
So I leave thy presence and you are alone once more
in the darkness of the cold, dreadful, lonely night.
An Encounter With Raziel(Raziel's point of view.)
By Ryoken
Look into my eyes, little human.
Look long and deep and fall under my spell.
I'll show you the world through mine eyes
before I kill and drink your blood.
What, why do you not fall on bended knee,
begging for my touch and the death I will bring?
Are art different from the others, you say?
And can fight to break my spell?
But you do not raise your weapon to strike me down.
Why not, strange one, I have killed more than you know.
Perhaps you cannot act.
Perhaps you are influenced.
You say you no reason to
and you turn to leave.
Vanishing to thin air, you leave me alone
to think of things in, my friend, the night.
Ok, short and sweet, but I personally enjoyed writing this baby. Hope you liked it to!
