A/N- Hello, this is my first Greek Mythology Fanfiction. Don't fret, this is only the prologue.

~ENJOY! :D

Mae looked in the mirror, sizing up the dress she chose for the meet and greet party for the private university she was accepted to. Her auburn curls pulled back into a bun, framing her large golden, caramel colored eyes.

"Flower, you look amazing." Summer Vine, Mae's mother, sighed as she looked at her daughter in the reflection. Mae smiled, and applied a thin coat of lip gloss.

"I can say the same for you mom, I love that outfit." She turned around and looked at the only woman she ever knew in life. Her mother was very young for having a nineteen year old, looking as if she was in her mid to late twenties. They had the same eyes, but Summer's hair was a dark brown, almost like fresh soil after a rain. Mae looked into the tall mirror again, her eyes glancing over the dress painted with floral patterns of every kind, and then down to her sandals, which reminded her of those from Greek myths. "I hope we have a nice time at this school. It's not every day they randomly choose a family of landscapers and offer a full paid admission." Mae nodded, half hearing her mother's words. Would there be any guys there? Or any other girls her mom would approve of hanging around her prize daughter? Mae got lost in the thoughts, day dreaming of friends, a caring guy, and most of all, freedom.

"Mae! It's time to go, the shuttle is here." Summer grabbed Mae's arm, and dragged her out the front door of their one-story house and to the sleek black car.
