A Christmas Love.
Every year since third year (they were in 7th), Hermione wished for the same thing. And every year Hermione did not get what she wished for. It wasn't something that could be found under the tree...No. It was something more..special. Hermione say by the fire thinking of this "Special Christmas present" that she never got. It was 11:36 p.m. and Christmas was just about over. She knew she was never going to receive such a wonderful gift, so she had lost hope a long time ago. She couldn't get it from just anyone, just one specific person.one specific boy. As Hermione stared into the fire, she heard someone walk down into the Common room from the Boy's dorm. She turned her head and saw that it was Harry. He smiled t her, so she smiled back, then turned to stare into the fire again.
"Well you're up late" She heard him say. "As are you" She replied in a soft voice. They sat there or a while in complete silence. Hermione looked over at him "did you have another nightmare" She asked, her voice filled with concern. He shook his head "no" and sat next to her. "I couldn't sleep" he whispered. "Oh" Hermione looked into his eyes. She saw bravery, trust, friendship, and kindness. She smiled. "So.did you get what you wanted for Christmas" he asked her. "never have, never will" She replied. She wanted to look anywhere but his eyes, so she looked up, and what she found herself looking at shocked her. Harry heard her gasp and looked up. Above their heads was nothing more than mistletoe. He looked over to the clock and saw it was 11:57. "Its still Christmas" Hermione said softly. "It would be terrible to break tradition" Harry stated. Hermione nodded, nervously. Harry, slowly, and softly kissed Hermione, and Hermione kissed him back. They pulled away from eachother just as he clock struck midnight.
They sat there for what felt like hours, but in reality was only minutes, as they looked into each others eyes, and saw nothing more than love. "Know what Harry? You've just given me what I've wanted for Christmas since I was 13." Harry chuckled. "Merry Christmas, Hermione" "Merry Christmas, Harry" And, again, they kissed.
The End.
