Ximara's POV
"I love you Axel…"
"Love you too Roxas…"
Sitting on the couch and peering behind my book, I sighed. Those faint words were such lies, that much I knew… A hand rested on my shoulder and I smiled at the gentle touch. Xion plopped herself beside me and smiled, I returned it faintly.
"Are you alright, Mara? You seem really down these days." I sensed concern and worry in her voice. I gave her another soft smile but my eyes expressed otherwise.
'I don't want to talk about it Xion…'
"Tell you what; I will come to your room in 15 minutes. Then, you can tell us what's wrong."
I stared at Xion as she skipped off. Sighing, I walked back to my room labeled with the Roman numbers 15, XV. Relaxing into my bed, earlier events still distracted me from my reading, the words blurring together. I didn't turn a single page. Xion entered a few minutes later. I was still on my bed reading when she snapped it from my grip.
"Hey!"
"Sorry Mara! Now, tell me what's wrong?" Xion asked.
I started expressing with my eyes. 'Axel and Roxas's relationship…'
"Jealous?" Xion giggled.
'Not at all, especially when we're in this web of lies.'
"How can you tell?"
I stared at Xion's question. 'Xion, how can you be so blind? Don't you actually know that he loves Demyx?'
"Yeah, I know that,...but do you want me to tell him that?"
'Not at all, if I know Axel well enough, he'll come to me first. Relax, nothing is going to go wrong…'
"Are you sure it will go all according to plan?"
I gave her one of my mischievous smile and wink. Satisfied with my answer, she returned to her room.
I sat in my own room thinking to myself. If life is really a web of lies, people will get hurt. If not, just pull the right strings and all will be fine. But in this conflict, it's not that easy…
Especially in this web of lies...
