note:

So I just recently started to ship Dramione… ha, never thought I'd say that. Anyways, I've been kind of obsessing over it so I decided to try and write something. So here goes. Let's hope for all our sakes that this won't be a complete failure. I present to you: the prologue of this story.

A bit of background: Voldemort has already been defeated, and that battle isn't part of the story. Seventh year. Some major characters are still alive: Sirius, Lupin, Tonks, Fred, Dumbledore, Dobby, Lavender, Colin Creevey, and Cedric

Disclaimer: I solemnly swear that I do not own harry potter :)

Prologue

I was never the type to get myself into any sort of trouble. That was the kind of good reputation I was known for.

Things had always been fairly straightforward from there. My parents had taught me at a young age to be mindful of rules at all times and continually follow them. That way I would never have to worry about being in any sort of trouble at all. Simple right?

I had always thought it was that simple. Living that way had never failed me before.

Then came seventh year.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think my life would have changed from how it was any time soon. I was not a rule breaker. Then came the day when a bet was made. That was the day when all the rules were abandoned and everything began to change.

It didn't cross my mind that something as silly as a bet could evoke the type of outcome that I ended up dealing with. Looking back, I should have seen it coming. I can't believe how naïve I was.

My priorities at the time had been so focused on defending my pride that I failed to see exactly what I was getting myself into. That was my first mistake.

And so that's where our story begins. With an argument that led to a bet, and a chain of events that nearly drove me to madness.

This is the story of how a girl who followed all the rules managed to break them all. How she played with fire and got burned. This is the story of how I, Hermione Granger, came undone.

All because of Draco Malfoy.

And after that, nothing was ever the same again.

note:

So it begins. Review and let me know what you think so far.

Until Then.
