Eric lay with her in his arms. He buried his nose in her hair, her smell exquisite. He couldn't wait to present her to the world. She was his forever. He had such plans for her, but for the present he was content to lay here with her.
She stirred and he released her looking into her eyes. They both rose and she looked around. She felt new as if she had been reborn. She looked at him a question in her eyes.
"It is my present to you, the gift of eternal life."
Pam smiled and took his hand.
