"Uhh… sure Yumi, … no problem." Ulrich responded, blushing a bit. They began to walk towards Yumi's house, which was rather far from Kadic Academy…

Ulrich's cell phone vibrated in his pocket, but he could tell who it was before he answered it, courtesy of a grocery cart speeding at him and Yumi. "Come on!" Ulrich yelled, grabbing Yumi's hand and heading towards the secret passage through the Hermitage.

Yumi lie in bed awake one night, staring at the ceiling. And, not so surprisingly, her thoughts were crowded with Ulrich.


It's three a.m. and you're on my mind once again

She blinked her eyes a few times. It felt like someone was lying next to her. It was like she could feel their heartbeat, right next to her.


I must have been dreaming
I thought I felt your heartbeat just then

Yumi turned to see that no one was there. Her mind then drifted to Ulrich. How she wished that it was him that she thought she had felt next to her. How she wished she was 'with' Ulrich…


Then I wondered how it would be

Back at school, back to a normal routine. Not long after school ended, and Yumi, accompanied by Ulrich (To make up for a few days ago), was walking home once again. That was when she saw the police car speeding towards them, the eye of XANA in the headlights.

That was when her cell phone rang. "I already know, Jeremie!" she said into the phone. "Your warning came a little to late!" She said, then hung up, once again taking Ulrich's hand and beginning to run towards the factory.

Yumi picked up the (framed) picture of Ulrich she had on her nightstand and hugged it.
