Disclaimer: I don't own High School Musical. It'd be pretty cool if I did, though.

It was a very rainy night. Black clouds had been gathering over albuquerque for nearly a week, and they finally let loose. It was a storm like the city hadn't seen in years, gale force winds were driving the rain down hard and the lightning was nearly constant. But even the loud crack of the thunder couldn't distract Martha Cox, who was happily dancing in her living room. With her iPod turned up to it's max and no one home there was nothing to stop her dancing. Well, almost nothing.

With a heavy sigh she pulled her earphones out and dug into her pocket for her vibrating cellphone. After a quick glance at the caller display she answered it, "What's up, Jay? I was dancing and you interrupted it."

"I'm bored," came Jason's answer.

"Aren't you supposed to be at basketball practice?"

"Yeah, but the gym flooded from the heavy rain. So now I'm bored. What're you up to?"

"I was dancing," Martha reminded him.

"so you aren't doing anything then. We should do something."

"I was doing something." Martha again reminded him.

"No you weren't," Jason replied, "So I'll see you in like 20 minutes? Try and have something to do figured out by the time I get there."

"Why don't you figure it out if you're the one interrupting my dancing?" Martha was doing her best to pretend to be upset, but she was actually a little happy that he was coming over.

"Okay, we'll solve crime."

"Solve crime?" Martha replied after a very long pause. She couldn't believe that he had actually put that forth as a valid idea.

"Do you have a better idea?"

Martha paused again, "not really," she eventually admitted.

"Then that's what were doing. I'll pick up some manila folders on my way over. All good crime solving people have manila folders to file stuff in," Jason told her as if it should be regular knowledge that manila folders are important.

"Okay." Martha said, pretending that she actually knew what was going on.

"see ya soon!" The cellphone's backlight suddenly brightened to let her know the call had ended. She couldn't believe the conversation she had just had. It had become apparent to her that Jason was a 5 year old trapped in a seventeen year old's body. With a shrug to her own thoughts she went back to her dancing. She had at least 20 minutes until Jason came over, probably longer. It would be a big surprise if Jason knew where to find a manila folder. She stopped dancing for a second, a look of confusion coming over her face.

"Jason actually knows what a manila folder is?" she wondered out loud.

Woo! My first fic that I actually uploaded. I know it was just a pointless oneshot that I wrote to try and get over writers block, but reviews would rock.
