Christmas time

What would happen if the quest to kill Voldermort DID end before Christmas. Fred survives.

Harry opened his eyes; December 21st had dawned upon them. An incredible feeling of contentment spread through Harry as he lay in the comfortable bed, listening to Ron's snores in the bed on the other side of the room. It was like a dream. A dream which Voldermort had gone, he was with all his best friends… Harry shook his head slightly, it wasn't a dream. It was a new life. He glanced at his battered watch Mr. and Mrs. Weasley had given him in the impossibly short few months ago. Ten to seven. He heard a small clatter from downstairs. Mrs. Weasley was already up then. He sat up and put his dressing gown and slippers on and crept downstairs, sure enough Mrs. Weasley was up and pottering about.

"Harry dear, Good Morning!"

"Good morning Mrs. Weasley, want any help?"

"Thank you Harry, if you could just pop these in the frying pan"

The relationship between Harry and Mrs. Weasley had strengthened in the last week, ever since the battle. He saw Mrs. Weasley as a mother figure now, but still found it hard to call her Molly. The feeling with Mr. Weasley was the same. Harry glanced around the kitchen with a smile; there were so many memories here.

He was so busy with Mrs. Weasley that he didn't notice someone had come downstairs; Ginny had come down with a dressing gown on and was shivering

"Morning, it's so freezing in here!"

She came over and briefly hugged Harry; this was the quietest it would get before…

"FRED, GEORGE, RON, HERMIONE WILL YOU PLEASE STOP APPARATING"

They all giggled, Hermione had changed the most since the war, she didn't keep to the rules as often and wasn't afraid of jokes, although Mrs. Weasley pretended to be angry about it, she really didn't mind and smiled now after yelling. They all sat down and were joined later by Mr. Weasley, Percy and Charlie. Bill and Fleur weren't coming this year, wanting to spend their first Christmas together.

"Well it's 4 days to go till Christmas then! We all need to get present for everyone!" Said Mrs. Weasley, setting down a plate of bacon

"Sounds like a trip to Diagon alley to me!" Said Hermione, shoveling down sausages.

"Yes, we'll go tomorrow, Fred, George, is your shop open?" enquired

"Well we have until the 27th off but business is open, verity's looking after the shop and we said one of us will apparate down a couple of days"

"Right we'll go tomorrow" Said Mrs. Weasley businesslike, " Well go on then, go and play quidditch or something!"
