The Unforgettable Task

Disclaimer: Why would I own them now if I didn't own them before???

Another one of my sister and my fics. This time about LOTR. Hehe. It's funny. We were bored one day. Again, my writing in normal font and my sister's is italicized.

Enjoy!!

Legolas Greenleaf sat on the bench in the tall trees of Lothlorien. He didn't understand. Why wouldn't Elrond let him into Rivendell. All Elrond said was "You must show me you are worthy."

Worthy? What is worthy? Is it fighting in the many battles, striving to be the best while Gimli aggravates the orcs with his ax in a never-ending competition of destruction? "Nehamia!*" Legolas said. Rivendell. It was his home! What was wrong. Did he have something on his face? Or was it another task?

He went for advice to the wise wizard Gandalf. "What is my task?"

The wizard answered. "It will find its path to you".

"What is that supposed to mean?" said the wise elf.

"Follow the wind." With that he was gone.

"What? Like Pocohontis?" he grumbled and walked off.

The only problem was, there was no wind that day. Legolas groaned and slouched down on a rock and rested his arms in his hands. Why does Gandalf's advice always come in Riddles? Riddle Riddle Riddle! Ugh. I sound like that fool of a took!

Legolas found out his task was to have a bath! He stank!!

End???

* Nehamia - Well, it's supposed to be elfish but I made it up. (I think it might be a name in the bible, just came to my mind, had a big test the next day)
