Bella turned away from Edward to look at her alarm clock. 11:47 pm it read. She was tired, but couldn't bring herself to sleep.
"are you asleep yet?" Edward asked
They had been lying there for about 3 hours...
"no, but I'm not tired" Bella lied. Edward smiled.
"ok then. Do you want to talk about something"? he asked.
"animals" Bella said instantly. Edward raised an eyebrow.
"what animal do yo think our family would be" Bella continued.
"hhhhhmmmm" Edward said thinking.
"I think I'd be a lamb" she said thoughtfully. "you even said the lion fell in love of the lamb".
"that and your way to breakable" Bella frowned. "and sweet" he added with a smile. Bella giggled.
"good save" she said with a smile.
"so that means you're a lion"
"I guess so "he answered with a smile.
"Hhmm, I wonder what Jake would be" she said sarcastically.
"I have no idea love" Edward added grinning.
"maybe a cat "he added, "I bet he loves those". Bella laughed.
"no that would be Alice it think" she said playfully.
"how do you figure"? Edward asked.
"well, she's small and cute and a bit too excited when it comes to shiny things, like the jewellery she make me wear"
Edward laughed along. "I see" he said and smiled.
"you know we should be a bit quieter, or Charlie might try to check on you" Edward realised once they had stopped laughing.
"ok. What would Jasper be"? Bella whispered.
"I know" Edward said smirking.
"what" Bella asked curiously.
"A fox" he replied.
"why" Bella asked confused.
"Because he's so smooth, there no other way he could have caught a girl like Alice" he smirked.
"Hahahahahahaa" Bella laughed hard, or as hard she could with Edwards hand shutting her up.
"ok, what about Emmett"? Edward asked.
"a bear" Bella said instantly. Edward raised an eyebrow.
"are you denying it" Bella said. Edward opened his mouth but closed it again smiling.
"ok, Rosalie " Bella said.
" a rat' he replied smiling. Bella frowned at him.
"I think a peacock" Bella said as his laughter stopped.
"she'd probably like that" Edward whispered again.
"I think so too" Bella whispered back
"your no fun" he smirked and kissed her lightly on the forehead to show he was kidding.
"what about Carlisle and Esme?" Bella asked.
"I have no idea for Carlisle" Edward admitted.
"what about a panda bear" Bella giggled
Edward tried to refrain from bursting into a fit of laughter, but couldn't help a small snigger.
"alright then" he laughed
Well can I pick Esme? Edward asked
"ok" Bella said "what did you have in mind?"
" a tiger" he replied with a smile on his face.
"why"? Bella asked.
"because she's so protective of us and you, and she is a wonderful mother" he said gently.
"that's sweet Edward" Bella said smiling, leaning in to give him a kiss. Edward smiled and kissed her back.
"tired yet?" Edward asked quietly. When he received no answer he looked down at her and smiled. She'd fallen asleep.
"good night my little lamb" he whispered.
