THE WHITE LILY

Shirou's counter attack threw Saber Alter far back behind. She fell backwards onto the ground with a hard knock. The Black Excalibur fell off her grasp.

"Saber!!!" Shirou dashed towards her. With the Azoth dagger in his grasp, he tried to stabbed her, as her final wish in her struggle.

"Shirou…" Saber Alter held her hand up, trying to reached for him.

"Saber!!!" Shirou couldn't contain his tears, and then…………. The final blow.

The Azoth dagger pierced straight through her armor and into her chest. Blood oozed out of her mouth, some of it splashed onto Shirou's face as he remain knelt in front of her. Saber Alter's hand slowly fell back onto the ground. She was dead.

"Saber…." moaned Shirou. Tears were still flowing down his cheek. HE got up slowly. He realized that his body was getting weaker. He was losing power, and eventually, getting close to death. Shirou panted, with Archer's left arm, grabbed his stomach tightly. He could feel the sharp pain of his energy being drained out.

To his surprise, Saber Alter was still laying on the ground, yet to vanish. Suddenly a very bright light emitted from her body. Shirou was blinded by the light. He shielded his eyes with his palm, and after some while, the light was gone. When he opened his eyes again, he realized that Saber's dress had turned to pure white. Her wounds had closed up and healed by themselves. She also seemed to have spotted a short ponytail instead.

"Saber…."

"Shirou…." Saber opened her eyes and slowly got up. Excalibur had also reverted back to its original colors.

"Saber… you're still alive." said Shirou, in his exhaustion.

"Shirou, I am not alive anymore. This form is only a temporary form." Saber grabbed Excalibur back up and approached him. "I managed to regain my old self, but thanks to Ilya's powers, I still managed to hold on a little longer in this divine form."

"What….. What do you mean?"

"Now I am Saber Lily. And I still have one last job to compete with this entity. Together, we shall save Sakura, right?"

"…………… yeah, right. We'll save Sakura for sure." said Shirou. "But, what do you mean, a little longer?"

"Once Sakura is save, my existence will also vanish. Because the Angra Mainyu still had some control over part of me, Ilya's powers can only purify me for a short time. After the Angra Mainyu had been removed from Sakura's body, I'll also be removed, that is, I shall vanish." she said.

"Saber….."

"Haaaahhhhh!!!" There were exclaimations from the other end of the temple. Rin was already confronting Dark Sakura, and the battle was getting intense.

"Shirou, we must stop Sakura quickly." said Saber.

"Yeah, you're right." he tried to hide the sadness of losing her again in his heart. "That's what matters now. Let's go!" he grabbed hold of Saber Lily' hand, and the tow of them ran up to the other end of Ryudo temple.
