Adventures of the Dark Magician & Dark Magician Girl: Breakout!
Shade City, an alternate dimension where the Duel Monsters "monsters" live in relative peace. Where the Millennium Items were destroyed those five thousand years ago, and the Duel Monsters card game was never created…
A place where the Shadow Games, which all monsters secretly found distasteful, are a bad memory…
DM's Dojo of Dark Magic
A female figure in a blue and pink outfit with pink miniskirt snuck quietly towards the exit. Her long, blonde hair shimmered. Dark Magician Girl, nicknamed DMG or Mags, reached for the handle…
"Correct me if I'm wrong," intoned a voice from behind her, "But after last night's disastrous escapade, weren't you grounded?"
The Dark Magician stepped out of the shadows of the corridor. DMG gulped audibly.
"S-Sensei."
Dark Magician smirked.
"For future reference, A: I'm a very light sleeper, and B: You should wait until you hear me start snoring before assuming I'm asleep."
DMG grinned sheepishly.
"I'm in deep crud now, aren't I?"
"Oh, yeah. Bed. Now. We can discuss punishment in the morning."
"Okay, but I feel obliged to point out that last night wasn't that bad."
"Mags, they had to call out the $%&^#! Elemental Heroes to break up the riot. You totaled an entire city block, which, might I add, contained the homes of Blue Eyes, Red Eyes, Seiyaryu, Summoned Skull, AND Celtic Guardian. Blue Eyes and Red Eyes nearly had a midnight snack on the spot!"
"At least the city is still standing this time," Dark Magician Girl replied.
Dark Magician just sighed, shook his head, and, picking her up, threw her over his shoulder and headed for her room.
The next morning, DMG was talking to her friends on the phone.
"So, you guys gonna help me bust out? I'm going stir-crazy!" Her friends agreed, and plans were hatched.
That evening, Warrior Dai Grepher burst in while DM and DMG were eating dinner.
"There's a tornado coming! Get to the storm shelter!"
DMG jumped up and ran out of the dojo, followed by Dai.
A few minutes later, DMG and Dai were walking down the sidewalk.
"That was brilliant, Dai!" DMG gushed.
"Not really."
DM stepped out of an alleyway.
"How do you DO that?"
DM ignored this.
"I just remembered. We don't have a storm shelter."
DMG winced.
"You…remembered, huh?"
"And we don't get tornadoes in this part of the country."
"We don't?"
DM gestured in the direction of the dojo.
"Home. Now. Strike one."
The next evening, as DMG was heading to bed, she grabbed at her heart and collapsed. A few seconds after DM called the doctor, a seemingly German man with a thick mustache and even thicker beard came in through the door.
"You got here awful quick," DM said suspiciously.
"Thot iss my job, dumbkophf," was the terse reply.
The doctor checked DMG over for a few minutes, and then picked her up.
"Iss bad. I take fraulein to hospital, ja?"
"Nien."
DM grabbed the hat off of the doctor's head. Elemental Valkyrie pouted as he then tore off her false beard and mustache. DMG stopped playing possum.
"Sorry, Mags," Val said. "I guess you're stuck."
"Strike two."
Minutes later, DMG heard a THUNK outside her window. She opened it to find a ladder resting against the house. She rushed down it, and raced to catch up to her friends.
"You guys are great! How did you get that ladder past Sensei's eagle eye?"
"Ladder? What ladder? Dai, you don't think…"
"Nah. It couldn't be."
As the trio walked out of sight, the air near the ladder shimmered. Dark Magician shook his head, chuckling and smiling ruefully.
"Kids today," he muttered. "They can't even sneak out without help."
