Stargazing Sisters

A/N: A short and sweet sisterly oneshot for you! Enjoy!

"So, which one is Orion again?" Anna asked. The sisters were laying on the roof of the castle watching the stars. Elsa knew some constellations, so she was pointing them out to Anna.

"Right there," Elsa said, tracing an outline with her finger.

"Oh, I see it. How many constellations are there?"

"Hundreds," Elsa replied.

"Do you know them all?"

Elsa laughed. "No, Anna. There's no way I could memorize a hundred constellations."

"I bet you could do it. You're the smartest person I know," Anna complimented.

Elsa smiled. "Thank you, Anna. When I memorize every constellation, I'll be sure to tell you."

A moment silence passed between the sisters. They enjoyed each other's company as they gazed up at the dark sky, admiring the stars.

"The stars are so pretty," Anna commented.

"They sure are."

"Have you ever seen a shooting star before?" Anna asked.

"No, I haven't, but I've read that they're really neat."

"I wish I could see one."

"It would certainly make sense to see one tonight. The stars are everywhere," Elsa said.

"Yeah, I bet everyone in the kingdom is out enjoying the view," Anna said.

"It wouldn't surprise me."

"We should do this more often, Elsa. You know, come up on the roof, lay down, and watch the stars together. It's very peaceful."

"I was thinking the same thing," Elsa said. Oh, how Elsa cherished moments like these with Anna. The simplest things she never took for granted. How could she after all they've been through?

"Don't you make a wish on a shooting "?" Anna asked.

"That's what you're supposed to do, yes," Elsa answered.

"I don't know what I'd wish for," Anna said.

"Well, there isn't any in the sky tonight, so it looks like you'll have time to think about it," Elsa said.

As soon as the words left her mouth, a shooting star shot across the sky, leaving a trail behind in its wake.

"A shooting star!" Anna cried.

"Wow! Isn't that something?" Elsa said, surprised.

"It's beautiful!" Anna exclaimed. Her eyes were open in awe as she watched the star disappear into the night.

"Well, now you got to make your wish," Elsa said.

"What? I don't know what to wish for. Besides, we both saw it together," Anna argued.

"Yes, but you called it, Anna. Whoever calls it, gets to make the wish."

"Oh, is that how it works?" Anna said, smiling.

"Indeed," Elsa replied.

"Well, let me think for a minute. What do I want to wish for?"

"You better make it count, because you only get one wish," Elsa pointed out.

"Alright, let me think," Anna said. The princess thought about it long and hard. Anna didn't have anything specific to wish for. Everything in her life became better last year, when Elsa reentered her life.

"I think I know what to wish for," Anna said.

"What's that?"

"I wish that it will be like this forever. You and me together, I mean."

Elsa felt her heart skip a beat. It wasn't what she expected Anna to say. Nonetheless, she was overwhelmed by the sincerity of it. The only thing Anna wanted in her life was her. Love really is powerful.

Elsa reached out to touch Anna's hand, holding it tightly. She smiled warmly.

"I promise you, Anna. We will be together always. This is the way it should be. The way it will always be."

Tears began to trickle down Anna's cheeks, yet, she couldn't help but smile.

"You know, in moments like these, sometimes I think they're too good to be true. I feel like I'm dreaming."

"Oh, but you're not, little sister. This is very real, I can assure you."

"Thanks, Elsa. I can't tell you how much that means to me."

"You don't have too, Anna. I already know."

Anna looked back at the stars in the sky. "So what other constellations do you know?"

"Well, there's Aquila. Let's see if we can find that one."

As the stars shone bright in the sky, Anna and Elsa laid together on the roof, admiring the view, and cherishing their time together.
