I shall sing a song of shadow
In the twilight, on paths of tears;
Finding hope in flowing sorrow,
Seeking solace in the stars.
I'll embrace this shady evening,
This fading Age of a wilting world.
Beyond the Autumn, stars are shining;
In dusky valleys, voices are heard...
Foaming waves lay yet between us,
Between this land and those twilit glades,
And I'll not leave these woven trees
Until laughter dies, and all hope fades.
For Night shall fall, the dream will stir,
The stars shall all alight:
And I will walk on paths of memory,
And sing a song of twilight.
In the twilight, on paths of tears;
Finding hope in flowing sorrow,
Seeking solace in the stars.
I'll embrace this shady evening,
This fading Age of a wilting world.
Beyond the Autumn, stars are shining;
In dusky valleys, voices are heard...
Foaming waves lay yet between us,
Between this land and those twilit glades,
And I'll not leave these woven trees
Until laughter dies, and all hope fades.
For Night shall fall, the dream will stir,
The stars shall all alight:
And I will walk on paths of memory,
And sing a song of twilight.
