A/N: This was completed for the The Good Wife Summer Comment Fixathon on LJ. It's really just a little burst of sheer and utter wish fulfillment. Again, reviews help me make improvements for later on! Please read and enjoy!

Disclaimer: I don't own the show or any of the characters as much as I wish I did. All good things and the biggest thanks extended to CBS and the show creators for giving me something to write about.

Kalinda sighed into her steering wheel. She had just watched Alicia shuttle the kids into Peter's awaiting car. She'd watched her happily wave as they pulled away and the sad dragging of her hand through her hair as the car turned the corner. That last sight had made Kalinda's heart lurch. She wasn't particularly fond of children - she wasn't going to lie - but Alicia loved hers and, even though she wouldn't admit it beyond herself, Kalinda loved Alicia, so it all worked out.

As she prepared to make her way across the street, she saw Alicia leaving for a run. She crouched down, tightened the laces on her sneakers and took off down the street. Kalinda grinned and picked up her handbag. She walked across the street and in a side entrance. Hiking up the stairs, she made it up to Alicia's floor fairly quickly. She walked up to the door, knocked and called Alicia's name for the benefit of any nosy neighbors. Blocking the doorknob with her body, she picked the lock. Despite her expectations, picking it wasn't difficult and within a minute, she was standing in Alicia's foyer.

She turned on the light in the living room and put a kettle of water on the stove. Sitting on the couch, she let herself melt into it. She felt comfortable here. There were papers on the dining room table, a pair of overturned shoes by the door, and dishes in the sink. It was imperfectly organized - lived in. What she loved most of all was that this is where their relationship had taken off. She looked around and smiled to herself. The kitchen, where, after a long night of working one weekend, they had shared a wine fueled tentative kiss. Their first one. The back of the door, where final kisses were stolen and neither wanted her to go. The bedroom, where Alicia had made her become completely undone and nothing bad had happened afterwards. She sighed happily.

Hearing the whistling of the kettle, she walked into the kitchen and pulled out two mugs. As she was preparing them, she heard the jiggling of the lock. Stepping off to the side, she watched as Alicia walked in and a look of alarm washed over her face. Picking up the mugs, she stepped out of the kitchen. "Hi, honey. You're home." She murmured, extending a mug towards Alicia. Her heart soared when she saw Alicia's harried expression soften into a smile.

Alicia took the mugs from her and placed them back on the counter. She wrapped her arms around Kalinda's neck. "Yes, I am." She whispered as she leaned into her mouth.
