Anything for this -

Just take away our sin,

Of being unable to protect,

our World,

Everything for this -

Just to erase our guilt,

Free us so as to finally sleep,

In peace

They are such utter, miserable, incompetent and lowly fools – It's funny. What makes them think they have the right to escape their pasts and their deeds, anyways? I just have to laugh – because they don't! If they so, so, so, so very much insist – then, very well! I'll listen to them - I will – yes, the kind generous soul that I am(I know, aren't I, Cheshire? But Cheshire, please remember – they were the ones asking for this, begging for this, do remember it was all them, my dear.)

I'll show them it, kindly teach them the consequences of their cowardice. Or was it selfishness? Hm, Cheshire, let's just call it foolishness, shall we? Because they are fools! Even so, I'll correct them, the saint that I am.

Hm, Cheshire? We hate that one the most? Ah, yes, we do, don't we? (I might have forgotten, oh, but then again, you do have only one eye, don't you? That makes it a little hard to forget.) Well, it's not like I would do everything in my power to ensure his misery tenfold, would I, Cheshire. No, no, I'm not that sort of petty person. No, I'm not, Cheshire. Tenfold is far far too kind.

Oh Cheshire. I've said they are amusing, but you know something else, Cheshire, dear? They piss me off. Thinking they can change their pasts, just like that! Escape their problems, by using a power they have no right to! Anything and everything, they say? I say, they are idiots, and I will puni- teach them the error in their ways. It's so fulfilling to see them learn! What was that Cheshire? Hmm, I suppose you're right. Seeing them suffer is simply delightful as well. Hm, but in any case I'll show those fools what happens when one seeks to protect 'his world' through me.

Cheshire, they're really annoying.

My world was never protected.

Not even by Jack.

Not even by you, my dear.

Not even by myself.

No such power could be found to grant my wish. Why do they get theirs?

They haven't done anything to deserve it!

I'll show them – give them – a piece of my hell.

Hm, Cheshire?

Okay, so maybe you're right.

I'm a fool too, perhaps.

If there is a way for my wish...

Anything...?

Author rant: Oh dear. Two hours ago, I was trying to fall asleep. Inspiration always has the nastiest timing. Anyways, the damn poem - which is probably horrific in any case - wouldn't stop bugging me. I wish I knew how to draw, because it was supposed to be a caption for a picture (a caption that wouldn't stop dragging itself out, mind you), but I can't, and so I resorted to writing this... Drabble (Monstrosity?) instead. Maybe that's a good thing, cause it's stupid in any case? Originally, it was just going to be the poem, but I'd feel guilty for uploading something so short... So I added an only barely thought-through bit on the Will of the Abyss. And by the way, the 'they' are Kevin Regnard and Vincent, in case you haven't figured it out already. I just had to start comparing them before going to sleep, dammit. On the bright side, I finally uploaded something here again. Well, I hope you enjoyed? Unless it's really as bad as I think it may be. In any case, thanks for bearing with it, and if you would be so kind as to tell me what you thought, or any constructive criticism, that would be greatly appreciated.
