School was out for the summer and Hanabusa was absolutely miserable. No one-not even Ruka, and yes he was really that desperate-was picking up his calls (though Hanabusa suspects that they might be avoiding him). The house stifled him and the blonde came to the conclusion that he could not take anymore of his little sister's overwhelming affection, however sweet it was.

So what better than to have a nice cup of creamy iced vanilla white chocolate macchiato and extra whipped cream alone. Just the thought of alone sent shivers down his spine.

Having no real preference for a certain café, Hanabusa quickly ducked out of the hot sun and into the first coffee shop he encountered. It was there, was he met with a wide-eyed waitress who blushed as she lead him to his seat by a large window with plenty of sunlight.

After being handed a plastic-covered menu, Hanabusa could hear the shy waitress whispering and giggling to a friend behind the counter at the far end of the room. And of course, they were talking about him.

Moments later, a pleasant voice spoke next to him. "May I take your order now, *okyakusan?"

"Can I ha-" Hanabusa glanced up. "-aaaaah…" He shut his mouth with a small click.

Standing by his table was the last person he expected his breath to be swept away by. Even so, her slightly wide-set brown eyes and lightly freckled cheeks gave Hanabusa's heart reason to summersault.

Snap out of it. He blinked.

"Sir?" The girl waited patiently for his order, her pen hovering at the ready above her notepad as the blonde remained dumbstruck.

Finally, he answered, "Black coffee?" much to his surprise. The words that came out of his mouth contradicted everything he had wanted coming into this café. But girls liked classy guys who drank black coffee, right? He was pretty sure they did.

Looking straight into her eyes, Hanabusa flashed his handsomest smile. "I'll have a black, please," he repeated, more firmly this time.

But the thing was, he didn't even like black coffee. What had gotten into him?

*Okyakusan translates to customer/guest.
