White-hot fire coursed through his chest.

"…bleep…bleep…bleep…bleep…"

"We got him back. Sinus-tach on the monitor."

"Good, now let's keep him that way till we get to the hospital. Inuyasha, if you can hear me, hold on, please, we're almost to the hospital. They have the best staff around; just hold on a bit longer for me. You have to stay with me, okay. I can't lose y-…" voices faded away as his hearing joined his other senses in a silent darkness.
