Hinata sat at a table in her favorite café watching other people converse and eat. A waiter came over to take her order.
I am sitting in the morning
At the diner on the corner
I am waiting at the counter
For the man to pour the coffee
The waiter came back with a pot and a mug. He set the mug down and started pouring the black liquid. But he stopped suddenly and left. Hinata looked up.
"S-sir! My coff…" she stopped when she saw him greet someone.
And he fills it only halfway
And before I even argue
He is looking out the window
At someone coming in
The man and woman smile. The woman was folding an umbrella that was dripping wet.
"It's nice to see you." He says and kisses her cheek. The woman smiles and kisses him back. Hinata quickly looked away and reached for the milk.
It is always nice to see you
Says the man behind the counter
To the woman who has come in
She is shaking her umbrella
And I look the other way
As they are kissing their hellos
And I'm pretending not to see them
And instead I pour the milk
Hinata sighed and grabbed the newspaper she had brought with her. She opened it and saw something about a movie star who had died. She couldn't recall him from any of the movies she had seen. She skimmed the page.
I open up the paper
There's a story of an actor
Who had died while he was drinking
It was no one I had heard of
Hinata flipped to the horoscope and found Sagittarius. The message was something about 'luck in love' and she quickly turned the page to the funnies. She suddenly felt eyes on her and she looked up.
And I'm turning to the horoscope
And looking for the funnies
When I feel some one watching me
And so I raise my head
Hinata looked out the window to see a woman of about 25 years looking back. Hinata moved her head slightly to see if the woman was watching her, but the woman continued to stare at the window. Suddenly she put down her bags and fixed her skirt. Hinata realized the woman was looking at her reflection. Hinata looked back at her newspaper and tried not to notice the woman straightening her clothes.
There's a woman on the outside
Looking inside does she see me
No she does not really see me
She sees her own reflection
And I'm trying not to notice
That she's hitching up her skirt
And while she's straightening her stockings
Her hair has gotten wet
Hinata looked at the rain and sighed. She listened to the bells ringing from the cathedral and smiled slightly.
Oh this rain it will continue
Through the morning as I'm listening
To the bells of the cathedral
She thought about a certain blond boy. Naruto had left Kohona earlier today on a mission with Sakura and Rock Lee. She already missed him dearly.
I am thinking of your voice…
Hinata hummed the last few notes of the song on the radio.
