1st Chapter (^_^')-3rd times a charm

Angel Kiya walked down one of the many beaten paths that led to the town in front of Hyrule. As he approached the drawbridge a guard clad in shining silver armor steps forward.

"Sir. Are you sure you wish to enter town?" She said, clearly unnerved, "It is not the ...err...safest time."

"I am sure. There's something that I must do and it is of great importance." Angel responds sweeping off his hood, revealing silver hair in a french braid and pure violet irises. The guard gasps.

"Sir," the guard says saluting, "It would be best if you did not reveal yourself in town. There are few whobwould not turn you over. It is not the place it used to be."

Angel sighs, "you're right." he pulls and eaves threads of magic from his mind, forming an illusion on his fase. To the guard it simply appeared that his face changed, silver hair becoming a dark brown and violet eyes to blue-green.

"No matter how many times I see it, I will never get used to that. Be careful Angel. Many people are looking for you." she says, heading back to her post.

"I will. Thank you Sophie." angel walks past the guard house and onto the main road. Several blood stains lie inside one of the darker alleys. Angel stoops and looks down it. 'What happened here?" He asks himself.

"We call them reapers. They onlycome out at night but they kill without descrimintation." An old lady responds form behind Angel. "I would say most people have already left town. All that really remain are the guards and the elderly."

"What about the reapers? What do they look like? What are they?" Angel asks.

"The reapers," the old woman sighs heavily, "they are the ghost of the young children and infants. When they first appeared, there were few. Their bodies still breatth but they hold no life. They feed off of the life force of the living. As for what they look like, they look like children but are paler and almost translucent. It's sad. First Zelda and Link disapear, Raven is named regent for little Lillith and now this." the woman looks towards the sky, "You should find shelter young man. It's starting to get dark" She ambles off.

"Thank you." Angel calls after her. He begins heading in the other direction. He follows the street to the inn and enters. The room is filled with empty tables and the elderly innkeeper is snoozing at the counter. He wakes up when Angel knocks on the counter.

"Hwah? Oh, good evening. This place hasn'tnhadnvisiters in a while, what all thereapers." the old man looks out the window and notices the dark. "Your staying here tonight. Free of charge. No one deerves the fate that awaits you out there." the old man locks the door and closes the curtains.

"Thank you, you're very kind." Angel replies.

"It's no problem young man. The few of us left in town have decided to stick together and help any travelers." he coffs, "Not that there have been many. We get a few. Mostly relatives, bringing supplies." he sighs.

"What happened here? What cauesed the reapers? Forgive me but I haven't been in Hyrule for a long time." Angel looks as the man takes two chairs off the top of a table and sets them down.

"Have a seat. This is along story to tell." He gets two mugs and fills them with tea. Angel sits and the old man sets one down in front of him.
