"Four days, four days, four days. Four days, four days, four days. Four days, four days, four—"
"Rachel, what are you doing?" Kurt stared at his friend. "Is this a new yoga chant or something?"
Rachel opened her eyes. "No. It's a self-imposed mantra that I have given myself."
"Do tell." Kurt sat down next to her, rapt with attention.
"Well, Quinn is on vacation and—"
"Ah, say no more. The many days mantra is a familiar one. I've used it myself whenever Blaine has a faraway Warblers concert."
"Oh."
Kurt smiled. "It's okay you know. To miss someone that much."
"I know." Rachel uncurled her legs from the lotus position. "I just wish I didn't miss her so much."
"Why?"
"Because it makes me sound needy." Kurt raised a brow. "Yes, I know I can be a little…needy at times, but…I'm an independent woman Kurt! I-I shouldn't have to recite a mantra to keep myself from missing her!"
"Rachel, you're in the throes of love. It's a beautiful thing."
"I am not in love Quinn."
"Oh really?"
"Yes."
"Then why are you blushing?"
Rachel growled. "I hate your perception."
He chuckled. "My perception? Rachel, everybody knows you're in love with Quinn. In fact, I'm surprised Jacob Ben Israel hasn't posted the news to his blog."
"I paid him off."
"Ah. So the truth comes out then."
She leaned her head on his shoulder. "What am I going to do Kurt?"
"Tell her of course."
"Tell her? Tell her? I can't tell her!"
"Why not? You're dating her, aren't you?"
Rachel chewed her bottom lip. "Yes…"
"Then tell her."
"What if she rejects me?"
"Rachel, Quinn has had plenty of time to reject you. If she really wanted to reject you, she wouldn't have tortured you for two years. She would have walked away."
"I guess that's true."
"I know it's true." Kurt got up, extending his hand to help her up. "Now, you're going to walk in there tonight and tell her that you don't just like her; you love her."
"Okay."
Kurt hugged her. "Go get her Barbara." He released her, turning to walk away.
"Hey, where are you going?"
"I'm going to meet Blaine at the Coffee Bean." He grinned. "I have a boyfriend after all. Call me later and tell me how it went. Good luck."
"Bye." She waved before turning around to pick up her yoga mat. "This shouldn't be to hard…"
"So, how'd it go?" Rachel rolled her eyes at the smug tone in Kurt's voice.
"It went well. I-I had a little trouble at first, telling her. But then, well…"
"She beat you to it, didn't she?"
"Stop being so smug!"
Kurt laughed, which only succeeded in irritating Rachel further. "My apologies. So besides the fact that Quinn jumped the gun and told you first, you did tell her, right?"
Rachel rolled her eyes again. "Yes Kurt, I told her."
"Good. And…?"
She sighed. "It wasn't that hard, you were right, I love her, she loves me, you are a relationship god, etc."
"I prefer Goddess."
"Goddess." She giggled. "Sorry."
"Rachel, you must respect the goddess." He paused. "And Barbara Streisand."
"Always."
"Well my dear, I must go. I shall talk to you tomorrow. Good night."
"Good night."
Quinn smirked from the bed. "God Berry, you sound like two girls. I think Kurt is worse than you."
Rachel threw the phone onto her desk. "He is not. He is my best friend. Well, one of them anyways. I have to tell him everything. It's law."
"Whatever." Rachel rolled her eyes before climbing onto the bed. Quinn wrapped her arms around the diva's waist, pulling her close. "Now, where were we?"
"I believe we were right…" Rachel leaned backwards, turning off the light. "Here."
A/N: I know this is light on any Faberry interaction, but I wanted to keep the focus on the friendship between Kurt and Rachel.
