A/N: It's been two years since I watched the episode I, Chiro, and two years later: SRMTHFG is back! So, YAY. So, I write this. Idea came to me while I was watching a YouTube vid of I, Chiro. I began thinking of Antauri as Chiro's father-figure, like most. Then I forgot about it, and then it was rejuvenated last night. So, random pointless drawling drabblish fic.
Disclaimer: Everyone knows that I don't own SRMTHFG. Sad.
Weakness
"Your weakness is obvious."
My weakess? Mine?
"Don't." Chiro said. He gagged, pawing at his throat, clutching more desperately. He had to do this alone. He had to.
Don't, Antauri pleaded in his head. His knuckles never felt the strain as he held onto the rock, feet braced, tail tensed.
'Give me some credit, Antauri. I did say you were the clever one.'
Simple as that. His weakness.
Sitting in Skeleton King's hand!
Things happened very quickly. He had no plan. The only one with a plan was Skeleton King, and that was one that Antauri would never let be fulfilled.
But Chiro...
Everything was insignificant. The fate of the universe paled in the light of the threat to Chiro's life. Without a doubt, Skeleton King would kill him. Mandarin would even beg for the opportunity. And Chiro's breath shrivelled under the magnitude of the universe.
The Universe. But not Antauri's universe. If he saved Chiro, they'd work it out some other way. They'd make it through, there'd be a way eventually.
But if he didn't give himself up Chiro would be fed to the Dark One and the Worm would be free in the end...
Antauri let go of the rock.
The poor boy's eyes didn't widen in surprise or fear when the black monkey leapt up, not even in a desperate plea. Chiro's eyes were only...sad. He could display that much even as he was being throttled by an invisible, merciless hand.
Antauri looked at Chiro to his left, a sort of gritty determination in the set of his teeth. Just look through my eyes. You will see yourself.
A right claw glowed. Antauri smiled grimly.
My weakness? Mine?
You may kill me. But you will never insult me.
