Temptation is fun,
But giving in is even better.
'What the heck is this?' thought the brunette as she read the elegant script on the Dove Chocolate Wrapper. "How is temptation fun?" she wondered out loud.
Today was Valentine's Day; a day full of chocolate, and tonight was Cupid's Dance. This was the dance where all the secret admirers were secret no more. This was the dance where all couples-to-be wanted to confess.
May, the sapphire eyed brunette that was mumbling earlier, was fumbled around during school. There were people stuck together like glue, whether it was at the lips or at the arms or… never mind.
She hated dances. The fun was nice, but she could never dance. She was too clumsy; she would fall, trip, and tumble everywhere. Drew was her only competition for the school's valedictorian. But how can you develop a huge crush on the one guy you are supposed to hate? Well, maybe it was because Drew was also a star soccer player and an amazing cello player. Tough luck.
She was getting paid by Misty and ash to attend the dance, so it wouldn't hurt. Ten dollars from each of them for each of them was worth five hours at the dance.
The dance committee decorated the gym in flashing hearts and red and pink banners all over. Many people were dancing, but couples were hiding over the campus…
May tumbled into the dark hallway. The stuffy gym was full of people dancing and sweating way too much.
She leaned against a wall inhaling the sweet smell of cologne. Wait… what?
"May…" a smooth comforting voice called out to her, right in front of her. A glint of green flashed across their eyes as they stepped into the moonlight, and straight out.
May's heart skipped a beat. What is this? Why would Drew?
"Drew?"
"May, why are you out here by yourself?" the soft voice whispered.
"Hi Drew! Enjoy the dance?" May tried to sound as energetic as possible, hoping he could detect her lightheadedness. Drew strode until his face was just inches in front of hers.
He leaned towards her, causing her heart to pound and her breathing to labor.
"Were you waiting for me?" he whispered into her ear, his breath tickling her skin.
May's breathing felt like it was extremely loud. To just grab and kiss him was too… tempting…
"You know Drew," May whispered back, wrapping one arm around his neck, "it seems as if you were looking for me."
She let the last word linger in his ear. Her own heart was pounding, her head light.
"What would give you that idea?" Drew whispered back, wrapping one arm around May's slender waist, holder her close to his body.
May was about to give in as soon as she felt his strong cello hands hold her.
Keeping the mood, she whispered, "You are right in front of me, in front of my face…"
May almost hissed the last words, leaning towards the amused boy so that their lips were centimeters apart. Her eyes began to close, her mouth open. Instantly the boy's mouth mirrored May's. May laughed at the boy's reaction, sending her sweet taste into the now hungry boy's mouth.
Drew quickly recovered and whispered into her ear, "Temptation is going to break you down… bit by―"
May had grabbed his face and turned it toward her own, bringing his lips to hers. She could feel his lip smirk against hers, but his mouth dropped open, sliding his tongue over her smooth lips. Each part of his body that touched her own sent pleasurable shivers up and down her spine. Their tongues were battling, while her hands were in his soft silky hair, combing it.
Drew broke away, his lips hovering over her own.
"Temptation is fun, but giving in is even better…" May whispered against Drew's ears. Immediately, he dropped his lips down onto hers again.
