She didn't even have to ask when she approached him. He nodded, and took her hand. They got in his truck, and drove and drove until they found the place.
Shelby Corcoran had a rather nice house, and a sweet feeling backyard. There were balloons, and a few women having tea. Then, in the middle, under a huge happy birthday sign, was a baby girl. Puck stopped the truck, and he and Quinn just stared for a few moments. Then, they unbuckled their seats and went out. Puck carried a present, wrapped in dinosaur paper, as Quinn held onto his arm. Shelby noticed them, and seeing their faces, decided to walk toward them instead of saying hello. Puck held out the present, and there was no need for words. She nodded, and accepted it. Puck and Quinn went back, and drove off.
Inside Puck and Quinn had each left something. Quinn, a locket, in which Beth could put a picture when she was older. Puck had given her his first guitar pick. Shelby placed the pick inside the locket. It was small enough to fit, and she sighed sadly. She loved Beth, but she felt pain for the two who had to give her up.
Back at Puck's, Quinn was sobbing in his bed, as he held her and whispered comforting words.
They did the right thing.
But the pain was still there.
"I love you."
