Movement 1
O'Neil stared down at the P-90 in his hands as he sat behind a couple of unused crates. Stunner fire raced overhead in unrelenting waves, abusing the crates and nearby walls. Glancing to his left he spotted Sheppard and Ronon hunched behind some similar crates about seven feet away. Ronon had his customary grimace, while Sheppard was working on bandaging a wound on his left shoulder.
"John!" he called out.
Sheppard's eyes shifted up from his task to Jack, as he pulled tight a makeshift bandage with his teeth.
"I'm fine" came the response that O'Neil was expecting.
The Wraith had infiltrated Atlantis from seemingly out of nowhere and caught many of the people off guard. O'Neil had been visiting Samantha when the first onslaught had hit, now he was mobilizing what people he could in defense of the city.
Currently the tunnel they were pinned down in, was one of the main access points to the tower. It was a spot of utmost importance.
At least, for the moment it was.
Bracing the P-90 on top of the crate Jack laid down some cover fire against the six Wraith at the end of the hallway. The momentary cease in Stunner fire allowed Sheppard time to pull the pin on two grenades and swing them over his head. His aim was true as they bounced off the left wall and skittered to a halt not three feet from the Wraith.
Jack ducked down just as they exploded and bits of shrapnel flew overhead. The sound was deafening, they were at a closer range then he would have liked.
Peeking up over the crate, that had a chunk of smoldering metal in it, he watched as another wave of Wraith replaced the previous and continued the onslaught.
"Aw crap" He muttered under his breath and looked back at Sheppard.
Sheppard tapped the mic at his ear "Rodney! Status?"
A light static crackle in O'Neil's ear was the only other sound next to the shots that had resumed whizzing overhead. Followed by McKay's voice
"We have a plan, we just need a little more time"
