June sighed walking up her garden path, she was so tired and she was working as many extra shifts as possible to try and pay off her mortgage –again. She hadn't heard a word from Jim since he had found out about her affair and gone off. She opened the door and almost tripped over a package that had been placed where she'd find it. Inside it was a letter, a key and a CD. She opened the letter first, turning on the light she tried to bully her eyes into focusing, it was from Jim. Her eyes scanned the letter and her heart sank.

Dear June, I'm so sorry about all the pain I put you through.

This is just a short letter to say I won't bother you again, and

to return your key as I won't be needing it anymore. I want you

to know I love you so much but I've found a better life where

I am. Please don't try and contact me, it would just be hard for

both of us. I don't know if I told you about my Aunt Catherine.

I'm the only member of her family she doesn't hate so when she

died she left me everything she owned, I have sold the property

and wired what I owe you into your account, plus a little more

for putting up with me. I understand what happened with

Roger was just to get back at me and I want you to know I

don't blame you at all.

All my love

Jim

PS. I made the transfer irreversible so you can't try and give

the money back, just in case you were considering it.

PPS. The CD I included is kind of like my final good bye,

have a listen.

June folded up the letter trying to ignore the tears in her eyes. She walked into the lounge room and put the CD into the CD player.

You see the trouble with me

I've got a head full of fog

I'm a basket case

I don't think I can love love love

You see the trouble with you

Is you're in love with me

What a strange thing to do

What a brave place to be

So we dine

On sunset strips

Our hearts so deep

I drown in it

And as it breaks

I swim through cracks

And leave with words

I can't take back

You see the trouble with me

Monkey see monkey do

There's no you in tomorrow

A better offer came through

You see the trouble with you

There's no trouble with you

So when you say that you love me

That stops me loving you

And so she stays

On sunsets strips

A heart so full

I drown in it

She waiting for

My words to break

The one true love

I couldn't make

Woah woah woah

Yeah yeah yeah

Woah woah woah

Yeah yeah yeah

And so she walks

That golden mile

And men will try

And catch her heart

We both know

What could have been

On sunset strips

Of broken dreams

Woah woah woah

Yeah yeah yeah

Woah woah woah

Yeah yeah yeah

June dried her tears and left the package on the chair as she went to get something to eat. Jim was right, it was a very suitable song.
