Mikan Sakura had met Natsume Hyuuga and what could I say, young love blossomed! Luckily, she was placed next to him in the seating assignment.
One Day, she went in and found Natusme sitting next to Sumire Shouda so, she just sat next to her best friend, Hotaru.
Each day, the talked to each other less and less and suddenly, they just stopped. Mikan had wanted to tell Natsume so many things but he had avoided her each time she was in the same place.
They were in a Christmas party and everyone was there. Mikan walked in and found Natsume standing alone in the middle of the room. They were both standing next to each other but they didn't talk at all. Misaki Harada and Tsubasa Andou could be seen dancing and laughing with each other while Mikan and Natsume just stood there quietly. Mikan and Natsume were both killing inside to ask eath other if i was hurting each other but they decided not to.

They were older now and bumped into each other in the hallway. Mikan decided to fix her clothes and try to look busy and Natume pretended to read his manga. Mikan was panicking but Natume held his pride and walked away. Mikan thought that he should have held her instead. Both of them didn't want to see the ending of their relationship but they pretended that it was nothing. Mikan stayed up all night writing 'Miss You' cards but never seemed to get it right. Mikan had never heard this much of silence.
Each party was the same, standing next to each other, hurting, and sadness.
One day, Sumire followed Natume into the library and kissed him. Suddenly, Jinno-sensei was coming but Sumire pulled away just in time. When Jinno left, Natsume surprisingly, kissed Sumire back. This was also the day when Mikan decided to ask Natsume the truth. The whole time, this was like a contest to see who would act like they care less. Mikan told Natsume that she would give up if he would rather love than fight.
They were both in the middle of the classroom and they both kissed, there and then.
