The Liar Tells the Truth

He did a lot of things, but he didn't lie.

It was wrong. It was blasphemy. And…the people deserved more than that. They deserved the truth.

They were all excuses.

He'd just been blind. And deaf.

He'd lied.

When he saw the photo, it all made sense. The miracles he hadn't been able to do before. The desperation that had so quickly spread.

Power-hungry men using God and those who believed in God for their own agenda.

They were the sort of people he should have fought.

But he was one of them, unwittingly or no.

He let them reign. He let them strip everything the people had away from them.

Because he couldn't speak against those who believed him, those who kept him away from a cell he didn't deserve. It wasn't what everyone said. But no-one else believed. They destroyed him.

For his own self-preservation, he committed his own crime against God.
