Ok this is a posting spree! You haven't heard from me in a LONG time, so I thought I would be kind…
Ok, yeah so I know we are all completely OVER with Embraceable You, but I never got to write my story based on that ep, so here it is. It came from my frustration with Woody at the end of the episode, where he wouldn't let Jordan say what she was trying to say… So this story is set right when he saying all that stuff bout how he's over with her and everything, ok? And I left the ending up in the air because I just wanted to show how they never really get anywhere… so I guess make up your own mind if it's a happy or sad ending…
And REVIEW! This is a bit different from what I usually write, so let me know what you think!
She couldn't believe the words that were tumbling out of his mouth. They were words she had said herself so many times, but they were so far from the truth. And that's why she was through with them. She was not going to say them tonight, yet he'd thought that she was going to say them.
And so he was saying them first, and couldn't hear that she was trying to say something different.
"Woody, can you just shut up and listen to me?"
Ok, she had his attention now. He was starring at her, annoyed, waiting for her to say what was so obviously extremely important. Not.
Jordan looked away for a moment, before turning back to face him, feeling his eyes stare holes into her face. Did it have to be this hard to talk, and to have someone hear? "Woody, listen to yourself! Do you know what you're even saying? Did it never occur to you that maybe what I'm trying to say is not that we should just be friends?"
"What are you saying, Jordan? Is this the part of the game where we switch roles and you actually beg me for something more than friends?"
Jordan gave him a look. How could be so cold? "It was never a game."
"Never? Can you honestly tell me that?"
"Ok, no, but it stopped being a game so long ago. You've got to believe me."
Woody sighed. "What, you want the ring?"
Jordan blinked hack the tears in her eyes. She could feel Woody slipping away, and she couldn't let that happen. "It's not like that, Woody! When you gave me the ring, it scared me. I did what came naturally, I ran away from it."
"So now it's hide and seek?"
"No! It's not a game, because I love you, and that's real!"
Both Jordan and Woody were slightly startled by Jordan's sudden declaration, and looked at each other, trying to find the meaning of her words.
Woody then realised that he and Jordan were once again where they had been so many times before- square one. Had all these years been for nothing?
"Jordan, I love you, but can we work? Is it worth it, or is it just a chase?"
It was then that Jordan stopped fighting the tears and let them take over. "Please, Woody, please don't give up on me," she cried, in nothing more than a whimper.
