DEAR KUINA…

OoO

Zolo writes a letter to somebody passed on. What does our favourite green-haired swordsman think in these present days of turmoil?

OoO

Dear Kuina,

OoO

Oh boy, where do I start? It's not like I can just talk to you face to face, which is what I REALLY want, but I saw Nami writing a letter to her dead foster Mother last night, and so I thought I'd give it a go too.

Give what a go? Why am I even doing this? It's not like you're gonna read this letter or anything…

If you COULD read this letter, then you'd probably be pretty happy, because one of us is on the way to becoming the best swordsman. I'll tell you, and I can only admit this to you because you're not reading this letter, but I got beaten by Mihawk recently. Beaten, and beaten badly, but I will not give up. Granted, he sliced two of my swords in half, but I will get some other ones, because I WILL become the best swordsman in the world.

For me.

For you.

For us.

OoO

Okay, maybe more for me then for you, but I DID make you a promise, and I swear I'm gonna keep it, because that's the kind of person I am. People may view me as either lazy or stubborn, but I care about my friends, my nakama, and I cared about my rival, which was you. True, I wanted to beat you more then I wanted to like you, but a man cannot be a man, and swordsman at that, without some form of rival.

OoO

You were a great rival, a truly gifted warrior, and for some unknown reason I miss you…

OoO

But it's okay, I can say this, because you are not reading this letter.

Zolo

OoO

Somewhere, beyond death, Kuina read this letter.

And she smiled.
