He didn't want it to end.
It was too much fun with them - watching Entertainment Duels that didn't exist back home, watching Pendulum Summons, teaching Yuzu how to Fusion Summon when he'd no reason to at all. Except she wanted to be stronger, and that was admirable -
But it also uncomfortably reminded of the Xyz duellists who hadn't had half a chance. And he could step back now and see things differently, and he didn't want that to end either because his gut twisted at duelling like that again -
Except it swallowed him, like it'd swallowed him before. It ended.
