Emotionless Mask

In this world of lies,
The best thing to do,
Is to hide your emotions,
Behind an emotionless mask.

Behind that mask,
No one can hurt you,
Your emotions hide themselves,
And soon, they die away.

Emotions can make someone weaker,
For they can hinder you,
That's why I prefer to hide them,
Behind an emotionless mask.

In this world of lies,
I allow myself to lie,
That's the only thing I can do,
Behind this emotionless mask.
