A poem that popped into my mind. It consists of Raven describing herself and her story. It takes place sometime before The End. Enjoy!
I am Raven
And I have sworn
An oath to Azarath,
My one true home
---
To practice my magic
So He'll leave me alone;
And to never return there
With this here tome.
---
It contains a prophecy
That has yet to follow through,
And though I fear the worst,
Some say it might not come true.
---
I do not want to,
But I am destined you see,
No matter how horrid and sad,
To carry out such a prophecy.
---
For I am the portal,
made of his flesh and his blood.
Made to do evil,
And not to do good.
---
Yet here I am, a young Teen Titan.
Saving the world from villains that frighten.
A half-demon sorceress coursing with power;
That stays hidden away, should my mood ever turn sour
---
With bright purple hair,
and ashen gray skin;
I've come to regret,
I'll never fit in.
---
But neither does an alien
Or a green-tinted beast.
Of which my affections
I've learned to cease.
---
I want to think that what I do
Will someday help in bringing me through;
Because if my story ever comes true,
I hope it will offset that which I'm destined to do.
---
For I am Raven;
Queen of the Darkness;
Daughter of Trigon.
And if we get through this,
Then let bygones be bygones.
Meh... what can I say? I was in a rhyming mood. The part below was what originally took place of the section containing Raven's apperance and Starfire and BB. I wish I could've fit in the 'man made of tin' part... oh well! This is probably the last of my poems for a while. It's not my forte, and I have bigger things to do like finishing Forever a Never, Till Death Do Us Part, and possibly a oneshot or two. ;)
With ashen gray skin I almost never fit in; But neither does a green-tinted boy, Or a man made of tin. If you liked it, drop a review! I love hearing feedback!
