Ranma, Prince of... no, Master of Saotome Ryu
It has been 2 months since Genma died. Life just went on as usual. After all, not many people cared that he had died. Most people were plotting his death after all. Nodoka hadn't grieved much, but had just recently married Soun to get rid of the Saotome-Tendo marriage pact. Ranma didn't seem to care much, and Nabiki took things in stride. Kasumi wondered if it was appropriate for someone to marry another so soon after her husband's death. Akane had said that she didn't want to be step-sister to a pervert like Ranma, but promptly shut up after the reminder that with Nodoka and Soun's marriage, he didn't have to marry that "pervert".
Now we see Ranma sitting on top of the roof, watching the stars.
"Ranma," a ghostly voice cried out from nowhere.
"Huh? Who's there? If that's you Kuno, I'll kill ya!" Ranma said, looking around.
"Ranma, I am the ghost of your father!" the voice said, and the fat form of Genma Saotome, dressed in his usual attire of a white gi and black belt, appeared.
"Agh! Oyaji!?" Ranma said, not that surprised. After all, this was Nerima. Anywhere else, except maybe for Denmark, would find this occurance strange and unnatural.
"I have come back from the depths of hell to tell you of my murder!"
"Murder?"
"Yes, my dear friend Soun Tendo killed me. He slipped some poison in my bowl of Kasumi's food, saying it was seasoning."
Ranma blinked, Mr. Tendo killed Genma?
"Now he has my wife's hand in marriage. I demand you avenge my death boy!" Genma's voice slipped from the ghostly tone to his usual demanding tone. "But leave your mother out-"
"Yeah, yeah Oyaji. We're all better without you anyway. Food bill is smaller. And I can eat at a normal pace now. Now go back ta hell, alright Oyaji?"
Ranma jumped off the roof to find Soun.
"Ah son, what can I do for you?" Soun said. Ranma had just found him in the living room.
Ranma was blunt. "I heard you killed my father."
Soun stumbled back. "How could you say that son? He was my best friend!"
Ranma continued. "I'd just like to say. Thank you! Thank you so much! I mean, it'd be dishonorable for me to do it, and I had so wanted to do it, but my nekoken personality never managed to do it for me!" Ranma jumped forward and hugged his step-father.
Nodoka peeked her head in and saw this. Ah, it was so nice to see Ranma bond with his new father.
