This is my take on why Charlie seemed so obsessed with dragons. I hope you like it!
None of the characters are mine! Still I don't own anything!

Enjoy!

Charlie Weasley was outside his parents room along side with his older bother Bill. Both were waiting to see their younger sibling. Charlie was a bit worried about the new sibling. What if I'm not a good older bother? I mean look at Bill he's a great older bother! I just hope I can be as good as him. Bill helped me with the monsters underneath my bed last night. He even let me stay in his room for a night because I was scared of the thunderstorm! Charlie's thoughts were interrupted by the door being opened. "Boys do you want to meet your new little bother?" Said Arthur, Bill ran to his mother to meet his new sibling. Charlie stood still as a rock, just staring at his mother and two bothers. "Charlie aren't you to go and come say hi to your new bother?", said his father. Charlie looked down at his feet and said quietly "What if I'm not a good big bother like Bill is?" Arthur told his wife that he will be right back with along side with Charlie. Arthur picked up Charlie, and took him to the living room. He sat Charlie on his knee and said softy "Charlie you will be a great big bother." Charlie looked down, but didn't uttered a word. Arthur grabbed his wand, and uttered a few words. Then a dragon teddy bear appeared. "Listen Charlie, you will be a great big bother. Like the story I read to you the other night. The brave knight who fought the dragon, to save his younger bother. You are going to be that brave knight, and you are going to do your best to protect you bother from anything", Arthur said softy. Arthur handed Charlie the dragon teddy her and said "if you ever doubt yourself again just remember that you are a brave knight fighting a dragon." Charlie smiled and looked at the dragon, and thought that he might be a good big bother after all. They went to see his new baby bother named Percy. Charlie looked down at his little bother and said "I'm a brave knight, and I'm going to defend you against any dragon or monster", said Charlie proudly. Charlie from then on always slept with the dragon teddy bear, to help remind him that he's a brave knight fight a dragon to defend he's bother.
