Not Waiting For My Prince

So, this is a song/poem I wrote forever ago, and I decided to post it. I wasn't sure where else to put it, so since it mentions Ariel and Cinderella I thought here would be a good place. Review and I will always love you! Yes, I know that rhymed.

So, it's supposed to be a song, but I don't know. I kind of like it as a poem. Read and enjoy!

I don't want another fairytale,

I want something real,

I need you to keep me in your arms,

And make me feel.

I can't just sit around,

Waiting for a prince who'll never come,

I want someone here,

To be my true love.

Cinderella's a good story to tell,

At night by the fire,

When you're young and free,

And can be anything you wanna be.

But when you've grown tall,

And the prince don't come,

Don't let it break your heart,

Or make you fall.

Ariel had a choice,

Of all the fish in the sea,

But she didn't settle for something chosen for her,

Did she?

So at night,

When I lie awake,

I pray that I might,

Find someone great.

He might not be perfect,

By any means,

But he'll love me for me,

And that's all I need.
