Nostalgia
A moment, frozen and still
For but a heartbeat, yet can't be filled
Years have passed, things have changed
But that moment's well kept and hidden
Safe and untainted.
A memory, old and forgotten
Deep, down under the mind
Waiting for a chance to be rekindled
The heart was breaking, beating and waiting
For that reason to live again.
For that moment is a memory
Precious yet forgotten.
The mind's terrified to forget
The heart---wants to feel again.
Hanging by a thread, holding on.
For that moment was the time
When everything seemed to rhyme.
The world stopped spinning and it was just----
Us. Broken and whole
Two bodies, one soul.
