Hey guys! So, I'm new here, and this is my first story. It's not very good, so please bear with me. :) I am not really planning to finish this or anything. Thanks for reading! Feel free to leave tips, or anything that might be useful..
I have always wanted Doctor Who to be real. Of course I knew that it was just a television show, and it was much too spectacular to exist in real life. That still didn't change the fact that I wanted it to be real. There was something about the science, explanations, and just the mere impossibility of it all. Anyone in the Universe would be crazy if they didn't want something like that. Little did I know, my wish would be fulfilled.
It all started when I awoke in my bed to someone yelling my name. "Janette!" The voice of my mother called from outside of my door, "Get up or you're going to be late for school!" I rolled onto my back and stared up at the ceiling. Here comes another day of my usual, boring life, I thought to myself. I got out of bed and reluctantly got ready for yet another day of school.
I had finally made it out the door and was walking towards the bus station. I usually took the public bus to school, because I couldn't stand being in the same bus with most of the kids. I should probably explain why. I am shy, awkward, and as flat chested as a teenage boy. I also don't really have much of a social life, therefore not much friends. In fact, no friends whatsoever. My interests didn't really help things either. I love all things science fiction. Star Wars, Star Trek, and my ultimate favorite, Doctor Who. That's me, a die hard Whovian. I guess you could say I am a pretty easy target for bullies, especially on the school bus. So I started walking to the local bus terminals.
As I was walking, my mind on school work and geeky television shows, I heard something. The sound was so universal, a wheezing or groaning sound of a machine, and it was a sound I have heard many times before. I nearly dropped my backpack. I immediately ran after the sound. I probably looked like an insane person, my frizzy hair flying all over the place and my shirt featuring David Tennant looking all disheveled. I knew that this was probably going to make me late for school, but I just had to figure out where this noise was coming from. So I chased after it.
I ran along the streets, gathering quite a few strange looks from passersby on the street. I didn't care. I knew that the noise was probably someones unusually loud ringtone, or a TV somewhere, I just wanted to find out what it was nonetheless. It was strange, almost as if something was pulling me towards the sound. I haven't even been running for thirty seconds, but it felt like eternity. The sound gradually dimmed, but I followed where it had came from earlier. I looked around only to be disappointed. Nothing. There was absolutely nothing. Now I only felt stupid for have sending myself on this ridiculous goose chase. I turned around to sprint my way back to the bus.
I ran into someone and we both stumbled backwards. "Sorry!" A man's cheerful voice called. He sounded familiar. I looked up and gasped aloud. "Doctor?"
