Dean toys at the hole in his left sock with his big toe, sitting on the couch and flicking channels on the TV. Not much interesting is happening there, so he turns his attention back to his brother for a moment.
Sammy is bundled under a mountain of blankets, shivering and trying to read one of Dean's comics. It's one he hasn't had a chance to read yet, but Sammy likes Spider-Man, and he likes to look at the pictures, so Dean lets it go with a sigh.
Rain patters against the window. Sam leans against him, eyes drifting shut.
