(A/N: well I was listening to this song and this songfic popped into my head. I don't own Naruto… if I did Naruto would already be with Hinata and Sasuke would have never left. I don't own the song either it belongs to Lily Allen.)
Neko sighed as she looked around Kohona. She spotted Neji and Tenten kissing under an oak.
Sometimes I find myself sittin' back and reminiscing
Especially when I have to watch other people kissing
And I remember when you started callin' me your miss's
All the play fightin', all the flirtatious disses
Neko quickly walked away and looked around. She was on top of the Hokage monument. She recalled when she had told him stories of how she was kicked out of her clan, how she was treated like scum, and how she had watched her big brother die. Tears leaked from her eyes.
I'd tell you sad stories about my childhood
I don't know why I trusted you but I knew that I could
Neko sat down and started to remember. The two of them laughing at a horror film, Neko borrowing his shirt and boxers after a rather bad storm…
We'd spend the whole weekend lying in our own dirt
I was just so happy in your boxers and your t-shirt
Neko laid down and stared up at the sky.
Dreams, dreams
Of when we had just started things
Dreams of you and me
And it seems, it seems
That I can't shake those memories
I wonder if you have the same dreams too
She sighed as a cloud started to take the shape of his tattoo. She turned over.
The littlest things that take me there
I know it sounds lame but it's so true
I know it's not right, but it seems unfair
The things are reminding me of you
Neko felt the tears coming more freely. She started to mutter wishes under her breath.
Sometimes I wish we could just pretend
Even if only for one weekend
So come on, tell me
Is this the end?
She remembered them sharing sodas, watching those horror movies. How they laughed after the fight about the magazines under his bed. Trips to the malls she remembered so vividly being chased by fangirls and such.
Drinkin' tea in bed, watching DVD's
When I discovered all your dirty grotty magazines
You take me out shopping and all we'd buy is trainers
As if we ever needed anything to entertain us
How when he introduced her to Naruto, Neji, Sasuke, and Shikamaru and how he had wrapped and arm around her. He had cheered her up on the day of her brother's death. She sighed and sobbed.
The first time that you introduced me to your friends
And you could tell that I was nervous, so you held my hand
When I was feeling down, you make that face you do
There's no one in the world that could replace you
Dreams, dreams
Of when we had just started things
Dreams of me and you
It seems, it seems
That I can't shake those memories
I wonder if you feel the same way too
Sometimes I wish we could just pretend
Even if only for one weekend
So come on, tell me
Is this the end?
Neko felt something wipe her tears away. She opened her eyes and came face-to-face with him.
"Gaara…" Neko breathed and jumped up. She threw her arms around him. "I thought you where dead! Is Naruto okay? Hinata and were worried sick!"
"He's fine." He soothed. "We just lost transmission for a couple days. You blow things so out of proportion." He chuckled. She let relief wash over her and she kissed his chin.
"I'm just that in love with you." She sighed. He smiled that small smile of his.
