A.N.: Great. Another story done. Special thanks to Lewis Caroll and his "The Lobster-Quadrille" from which this fanfic was inspired from.
Disclaimer: I don't own HAP.
Ah, Niagara Falls. Known for its majestic beauty, it is also divided into two, one part for America and the other for Canada. And...who knew it was a place that attracted so much noise?
"Would you walk a little faster?" said an American to a Canadian. "There's a tortoise right in front of me and...ouch! It just treaded on my toes!" he yelled, leaping backwards.
Watching his brother jump around made Canada sigh. He wondred why he had even gone here at all, when he could be doing some of the work his boss told him to do. Just because he received an invie from America to be here...other than that, he was not going to speed up at all: Even if it annoyed America. And...were there even tortoises that lived in Niagara Falls?
Bending down to retie his shoelaces, he felt his arm sharply yanked forward.
"O-Ouch! America! If you really wanted me to walk forwrd, you could just say so! You didn't have to yank me all the way!" Canada finished, tugging his jacket's sleeve again.
America didn't look like he was paying any attention. "Look up Canada!"
Canada did look up as flock of birds flew over to the other side until they completely disappeared from his view.
"See how eagerly the birds flew over the borders?" America said breathlessly.
"I guess..." Canada said, unsure of what to say.
Silence filled between the two until America decided to break it.
"Hey, why don't we cross over the side?"
"What? Us cross over the side?"
"That is what I said right?"
Feeling the silence sink in, America killed it off immiediatly with what he said.
"Won't you join me there?"
Canada shook his head quite fast. "I'm sorry America but I can't. Um, it's my boss' orders. I'm supposed to be doing some work right now and-"
"You don't have an idea of how fun it will be when we get there!" America implored some more. "When we walk there, and see how fun it will be!"
Again Canada replied "Too far, too far!" Relaxing a bit, he continued saying "Thanks for your offer America but...I couldn't join you there."
"Why does it matter how far we go?" America said, pouting a bit. "There is another shore on the other side, the farther one from your place, the nearer one to mine. Andif you always stick inside your comfort zone (by that I mean your place), how will you get to know what's outside! So you can't turn around but have to join me there!"
At this point, Canada knew he didn't have a choice anymore. He'd get dragged over to the other side no matter how many times he would refuse.
"If you say so...lead the way."
I feel like it could've had a better ending...suggestions to improve this fanfic would be helpful. Just PM me or post it as a review so...yeah.
Thank you for taking time to read this!
