Scary Movies Bring People Together
Star Butterfly, Princess of Mewni, was excited. Not that being excited was a rare occurrence for her, far from it in fact, but right now she was extra super excited. That was the best type of exited you could be you know! In fact she was so excited she was basically bouncing off the walls right now!
"STAR!" a familiar voice hollered "WHY IS THEIR A TRAMPOLINE IN THE LVINGING ROOM"? It was the dulcet tones of one Marco Diaz, Star's best Earth friend, and he did not look very happy. "Chill out Marco!" Star said as she got off the trampoline and magically got rid of it "I am just hyping myself up for my date tonight"!
After that sentience Marco deflated. "Oh right, I forgot: your girlfriend's coming over." "Marco." Star chided him "You don't have to be so upset about it. It is just Janna not a serial killer"! Yes it was true after striking up a friendship the relationship between Star and Janna had something altogether more, romantic. Marco just groaned a bit before asking, "So what will you two be getting up to tonight"? Star smiled "I am glad you asked dear Marco! Janna is bringing over a scary movie: Bloodwash Town"!
Marco paled a bit at the name. "Isn't that an R-rated super gory serial killer movie?" he asked with trepidation. "Yup!" Star responded as if it was the most innocent thing in the world. "Whelp I hate those kinds of movie. I am going out. Enjoy your date!" Marco said quickly and nervously as he made his way to the door. "Don't worry I will." Star called after him as he shut the door behind him!
Well with Marco and his parents out all Star had to do was wait for Janna to show up. Thankfully for Star's attention span she did not have to wait long. "Is this the Cute Princess residence?" the unmistakable voice of Janna called though the door. "Sure is!" Star said as she swung open the door and saw her girlfriend standing there. They gave each other a big hug and Janna was waved in by Star.
Pretty soon the two of them were sitting on the couch with a bucket of popcorn. "So he just walked out?" Janna said with a bit of a laugh. "Yeah! You would think with all the weird things he has seen since he started hanging out with me he could take a little old scary movie." Star replied. They both laughed at that and began to watch the movie.
About halfway though the flick Star had to admit something. Despite all the crazy adventures she had been on: this movie still scared her! As things became worse and gorier in the movie Star began to flinch and squeak in fear. Finally it culminated that during one jump-scare Star out-right shirked and impulsively latched onto Janna!
Janna for her part liked this turn of events and wrapped one arm around Star in a comforting way. As the movie got even scarier Star stopped watching all together and just buried her head into Janna's chest, to Janna's even greater delight! However all good things must come to an end so when the movie was over, so was the semi-cuddling.
"Doing okay Princess?" Janna asked Star who nodded her head yes. "You were right Janna that was a scary movie!" Star said with fake enthusiasm. Janna picked up on it and said with genuine remorse "Look if it was too much I'm sorry". "No no it was fine! It was just… a bit scarier then I thought it would be." Star said with a blush.
Star was embarrassed by how she had acted during the movie; she was a butt-kicking magical princess for crying out loud! She should NOT be scared of a silly horror movie! Janna seemed to pick-up on Star's feelings of embarrassment and held out her arms. "Want to cuddle?" Janna asked in a very simple manner. Star just nodded her head and went into the hug. Pretty soon both of them were curled up into each on the Diaz's couch. As Janna closed her eyes to relax better she thought, as she enjoyed the feeling of Star nuzzled up against her once more, "Who says fear can't bring people together"?
