Hello, Hello my dearies! I know Father's Day was yesterday, and I can't even remember the last time I posted a Fanfic. But, it's here and I hope you like my quick Father's Day fanfic!
Disclaimer: Rurouni Kenshin isn't mine, unless we're in my dreams...then it is.
Quick Note: For anyone wondering why my name just keeps getting longer and longer everytime I change it, I have no idea...I just really liked the sound of this new name and hope it will last longer, if not forever, than my old names have. Anyways, it's STORY TIME! Yay!
"Kenji!" Kaoru calls. "Hai!" Kenji drops his toys and runs towards his mother's voice. "Kenji, do you know what day it is?" she beams. He stops to think "Sunday..." Kaoru sighs. "That is true...but it's also Father's Day!" she reminds her adorable son. "Ehhh?", "Why don't you go get your father a present? He would be very happy if you get him something." Kenji ponders, quickly thinking of the perfect present.
A FEW MINUTES LATER
"Tou-saaaaan!" Kenshin glances up in surprise as his son tackles him, smiling brightly. "What is it Kenji?" Kenji holds up a piece of paper and grins. "Happy Father's Day!" Curious, Kenshin gently takes the paper from his son's hands. It had a rough drawing of him, Kenji, and Kaoru smiling and holding hands with 'Happy Father's Day!' on top. Kenshin smiles and pats his son's head. "Arigatou Kenji, it's nice." Kenji's smile widens. "Really? I worked SUPER hard on it!" he says with joyance. "Really."
A curious Kaoru appears from around the corner and looks over her husband's shoulder at the present her son came up with. "Is that us? It's so cute!" she exclaims. Kenji nods and grabs his father's hakama. "I got something else too!" Kenshin and Kaoru stare at him in surprise. "Something else?" Kenji quickly reaches into his gi and pulls out a bracelet. "Auntie Megumi helped me make it!" Kenshin laughs. "This is very nice Kenji, Arigatou." Kaoru grins and yanks his gi. "Alright, now that you have presents, it's time to eat." Kenji cheers and grabs his father's hand, dragging the surprised Kenshin to the kitchen with him, Kaoru close behind.
After Kaoru makes it into the kitchen she sits next to her husband and kisses his cheek. "Happy Father's Day, Kenshin."
Wasn't that cute ^w^ this family is so cute and are definitely up there in my favorite families with the family in Clannad.
Also, I'd like to say...I went through the old reviews I have on my stories, and they made me SUPER happy and nostalgic. Thanks for the advice, ideas, and thoughts you all gave me and I hope you can continue.
