Only Chapter: Blessing
(No PoV)
"Hi my name is Nobara. What's yours?" The little girl before Persona smiled brightly. He stared at the thin form, taking in how small and fragile the girl was. Persona looked straight at the girl, eyes searching for fear. He saw none.
Nobara cocked her head to the side. "Mister?"
"Follow me." Persona said curtly. He turned away from the girl, walking quickly. He saw the girl coming in closer, reaching out to him.
"Not so close!" He barked. The girl cringed at the voice, eyes welling up. Persona swallowed, seeing the misty eyes but continued walking quietly.

"Persona! Look! Aren't these flowers pretty?" Nobara cried out, holding a bundle of flowers in her petite hands. Persona stared at the exuberant youth, keeping quiet.
Nobara held out a flower, giving it to Persona. "Here! For you!" Persona stared at the flower. He reached out for it, touching it gently. The moment his hand touched the flower, the petals started to erode and with it the rest of the flower. Persona clenched his hand into a fist, spraying the ashes of the flower into the air.
Nobara's eyes widened. Persona scoffed at her expression. "That's why I said not to come near me. I am poison." Nobara shook her head, her smile still entirely evident. She held out a second flower, offering it to him. He took the flower and again it crumbled. She gave him a third, her smile unfaltering. He took it and it dissipated as well.
"No matter how many times you give it to me, it will crumble as well." Nobara handed Persona her last flower. Persona took the flower and to his surprise, it didn't crumble. He stared at the living flower to the smiling girl, trying to understand why it too did not fall to ashes. He immediately noticed that ice encased
the stem of the flower. He looked at the girl before him who continued to smile.
"See. Not everything you touch will turn to ash." Her red cheeks and wide smile started to melt the wall inside Persona's heart. Little by little, day by day, she continued to tear a piece of his barrier away from him.

"Mikan-chan!" Nobara cried out, running towards her. Persona stared after the girl, watching her smile the same smile that melted his heart to another person. His heart twitched at the sight but he remained quiet.
He continued to stare at her until their eyes met and she smiled at him. To his own surprise, he smiled back.
"So I will watch you as you find your own happiness." He thought to himself, making his resolve.
