Summary: A Vampire's kind of night. Based somewhere in the 1700s-1800s.
A/N- This is what happens when you read too many vampire books and watch too many vampire movies.
The moonlight luminated the small cobblestone street, peeking its eyes in the crevices of the bricks; curious, but fearful of the
darkness that lurks around. The moon's face shows itself by crawling out from behind the shadowed cloud. Its breath cools
the atmosphere with fog that thickens with each blow. In the shadows lies an unsuspected evil that clings to the darkness
with hunger. It crouches low, awaiting the next meal that ventures near.
Drunken, a man stumbles out onto the misty, dim road. He wanders unknowingly near the darkness. He feels danger is near and
he senses it; intoxication controls his senses that grow dull. Lamp posts are blown out and the moon is the only source of light
for the middle-aged man. He stumbles close to an alley that is darker that the night sky.
Finding a weaker moment than before, the evil swiftly leaps upon his victim without mercy, knocking the inebriated man to the
filthy street. The creature of the night bites into the neck and its teeth hits an artery. It drinks its fill and the newly blood eyed
monster disappears into the darkness once more, forgetting about the litter he left behind.
The trees whisper with secrets and rumors; the winds blow with knowledge, but the moon sees all.
Please read and review. Thank you for reading. I MIGHT (might- the operative word,) make this a few oneshots of differant vampire attacks and and the angst of all that jazz. If i get enough reviews, I might feel inspired.
